Acrylic and mixed media on canvas
There is a moment in the ocean, just before a wave breaks, where motion and stillness exist at the same time. That is what Tidal Bloom tries to hold. Oceanic blues move across the canvas and collide with bursts of orange and coral, like something alive pushing through the water toward the light. Energy, renewal, the rhythm of things that grow even in movement.
Painted with acrylic and mixed media on canvas, 100×120cm. A commanding piece for large walls — living rooms, studios, or any space that needs vitality and depth.

Acrylic and mixed media on canvas
I painted this series while reading Kelly Grovier's "The Art of Color", and it changed everything about how I saw the canvas. Chromatic Garden Studies came out of that obsession with color relationships, inspired by Monet's water gardens in Giverny. I wanted to feel the garden more than paint it, layering golds, tangerines, and crimsons against fields of sage, deep green, and soft blue, letting complementary pairs do the work of light. Each piece is improvised, a conversation between colors, I was falling in love with.

Meadowdream came from a need to paint stillness. Gentle greens and soft blues build slowly across the canvas, layered with small textural details that emerge like grass, light, and air moving together. It is not a literal meadow, it is the feeling of one. The calm of being somewhere unhurried, where colour breathes.
Painted with acrylic and mixed media on cotton canvas, this piece invites the viewer to slow down. It works beautifully in living spaces, bedrooms, or any room that needs a quiet, grounding presence.

Olá, Margarida. Eu não vi o trabalho ao vivo, foi direto para Londres. Uma oferta para minha filha. Ela adorou! Já estão colocados e ficaram perfeitos. Obrigada!

No matter the size of the painting the magic and heart that each of Margarida’s pieces has is evident even through the screen but when you have them in your hands you can see so much more behind each stroke and color: stories, songs and lots of love. Buying from Margarida is the gift that keeps on giving. Not the first and definitely not the last

“…Assim que o vi, senti-me envolvida. Elevada. Apaixonada até. Levou-me para o mar sem sair do lugar. Para a natureza, o campo, as flores, as árvores, a vida, o útero e a beleza de gerar vida. Harmoniza a revolta e brutalidade do mar, com a delicadeza e simplicidade da vida. Com um toque de cor de esperança, mesmo quando coisas difíceis acontecem. Um sorriso. Um colo. Um fluir. Simples e descomprometido. Assim que chegou, senti que havia uma parede a chamar por ele. À entrada de nossa casa….”
